I want to be IT guy, so it's good to know about some stuff, and who knows, maybe I will need it later in life.

No, it was first time I heard that there is something like XML.

Not much really, 45 hours of course and maybe 10 hours in home for review.

Teacher on course had nice presentation made in powerpoint, also book "XML na poważnie" by Przemysław Kazienko and Krzysztof Gwiazda. And some online test from different sites.
