| XML is important technology, so I wanted to learn this technology thoroughly. I believe, the best to way to learn any technology is by preparing and taking certification exam. |
| Did you have any experience with XML prior to taking the exam? |
| Yes. Been using XML and XSLT, extensively at work for last year or so. |
| How much time did you put into studying for the exam? |
| Was spending 10-12 a week for 4-6 weeks. |
| Let us know about any books, seminars or other preparation tools you used to study for the exam. |
| Mainly 'XML in Nutshell', and any examples/samples found online (w3schools.com). |
| Please share any post-exam thoughts or advice for those who will be taking the exam. |
| 1. The exam questions were practical in nature, so try lot of lab exercises apart from reading. 2. I wish the second exam (XML Master Professional Application) is based on .NET technologies too, rather than Java based only. I work in .NET technologies and use XML extensively. The .NET libraries provided complete implementation of XML API (DOM/SAX). |
