I have known XML for years, so it's hard to say how many total hours that I studied for it. I reviewed for 2-3 days right before taking the exam.

My main review book was Sams Teach Yourself XML in 21 Days. I have also read about XML in many books about other subjects, such as .NET, Java, etc.

This exam is speeded. You have to be fully concentrated for the whole duration. It's not just recalling facts; you have to process XML documents in your head quickly. Don't take this exam until you're very confident about the material.
